A. Sırrı Yırcalı, who received the service flag from Yırcalızade Şükrü Efendi, was the name that initiated the economic growth of the family. After completing his primary and secondary education in Balıkesir, he completed his higher education at Istanbul University Faculty of Law. A. Sırrı later returned to Balıkesir and took over the operation of the Flour Factory of his father-in-law, Muharrem Hasbi Koray.

He was elected as a Balıkesir Deputy from the Democrat Party for two terms between 1954-1960. He has made significant contributions to the economy of our country with many companies he has managed since 1949. Boron minerals, which he discovered and started to operate in 1950, have become one of the most important underground resources of our country today. He proudly run the tax record holder of Balıkesir for over 50 years until his death.
